What Taskelo is

Taskelo is one page split into a few panels: a todo list (today, daily-recurring habits, and a "later" pile), a free-form canvas for notes, a long-term goals workspace (each goal has its own notes and milestone checklist), a schedule view that shows your typical-week description alongside a mirror of your Google Calendar, a chat panel that talks to Anthropic's Claude, and a daily brief — a short AI-written summary of your day sent by email or push. You sign in with a free account (magic link — no password, no card), and your todos, notes, goals, weekly routine, and chat history are stored in a small cloud database tied to your account so you can pick them up on any device. Calendar events themselves are never stored on our servers — they're fetched from Google on demand. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

Accounts and access

Taskelo requires an account. The account is free and includes the full workspace (todos, notes, goals, schedule) with cross-device sync; a paid "hosted" subscription is only required for the AI features — Elo chat, AI day planning, and the daily brief. Every new account includes those AI features free for its first 14 days; no payment method is collected for the trial and nothing renews when it ends — the AI features simply stop until you subscribe.

We use Clerk to handle sign-in via magic link. You must give a real email address you control, and you must be old enough to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction (typically 13+ or 16+ depending on where you live). One person per account.

How chat works

Chat with Elo (and the other AI features) runs on our servers: we proxy your requests to Anthropic using our API key, and bill you a flat monthly fee through Stripe. A per-account daily token cap applies so a runaway loop can't drain our credits. You remain bound by Anthropic's usage policies for anything you submit.

Acceptable use

Don't use Taskelo to:

• do anything illegal, or attempt to harm others;
• send Claude content that violates Anthropic's usage policies (e.g. CSAM, malware, weapons of mass destruction, etc.);
• scrape, automate, or otherwise abuse the hosted endpoint past its reasonable per-account caps;
• attempt to circumvent the daily token cap, billing, or auth checks;
• share your account credentials, or resell access to hosted mode.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For hosted mode, we'll refund the unused portion of the current billing period on a good-faith basis when we suspend an account, unless the suspension is for fraud or abuse.

Subscriptions and billing

Hosted mode is a recurring subscription billed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the "Manage" link in the app, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we don't pro-rate refunds for partial months, but you keep access until the period ends.

Prices may change with at least 14 days' notice; if you don't like the new price, cancel before it kicks in.

Your data

Everything you type into todos, canvas notes, goals (titles, notes, milestones), your weekly-routine description, and chat history is stored in our cloud database (Cloudflare D1), keyed to your account, so it syncs across your devices. Your browser keeps a local copy as an offline cache, and you can export it all as JSON from inside the app whenever you want.

Google Calendar events are a deliberate exception: we don't store them in our database. They're fetched from Google on each manual sync and cached only in your browser — see the next section.

If you turn on the daily brief, your delivery preferences (enabled, time, timezone, channels, and any custom instructions) are stored server-side, and — if you enable push — a per-device push subscription (endpoint and keys) is stored so we can deliver it. These are removed when you delete your account.

Clearing your browser data wipes the local copy on that device. Using "Delete account" in the app wipes both the cloud copy and your Clerk profile, cancels any active subscription, and revokes our access to your Google Calendar. See Privacy for the full breakdown.

Google Calendar (schedule tab)

The schedule tab can mirror your primary Google Calendar as a weekly grid, and can publish your planned time blocks to a separate calendar it creates called "Taskelo". Connecting is optional, requires sign-in, and goes through Google's standard OAuth consent screen. Taskelo requests calendar.events.readonly to read and calendar.app.created to write. The second scope confines us to calendars Taskelo itself created: we cannot create, modify, or delete events on your own calendars even if we wanted to, because Google refuses the request. Publishing happens when you press the button, or automatically if you turn that on; Taskelo replaces what it previously wrote for that day, so edits you make to those events inside Google may be overwritten. Deleting the Taskelo calendar in Google removes everything it wrote and affects nothing else. You can disconnect at any time from inside the app or from your Google account's third-party access page.

Taskelo's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Event contents (titles, descriptions, times, locations) are fetched on demand and used only to render your schedule and provide it as context to Claude when you choose to chat. We do not use that data for advertising, we do not share it with third parties beyond what's needed to deliver the app to you, and we do not use it to train any model.

Daily brief

The daily brief is a short, Claude-written summary of your day — top priorities, calendar conflicts, and a nudge on one goal — generated from the same context as chat (todos, goals, weekly routine, and any synced calendar events) and delivered by email and/or push at a time and timezone you choose, on a recurring schedule. This is a hosted-plan feature: generating it costs model tokens, so it's gated by the same entitlement as chat and isn't available on the free tier. Email delivery is handled by Resend; push delivery goes through your browser's push subscription. You can change the delivery time, channels, or turn it off entirely from inside the app at any time.

AI output disclaimer

When you chat, your todos, canvas notes, goals (with milestones), weekly routine, and any synced Google Calendar events are included in the prompt as context so Claude can reference them. The same applies to the daily brief. Treat what Claude writes back as a draft: it can be wrong, biased, or weirdly confident. Don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for verifying anything you act on, and for anything you publish or transmit based on its output.

No warranty

Taskelo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature will keep working.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taskelo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages is capped at the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above, and (for hosted users) announced by email when reasonable. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
